- ASE Certified professionals work in dealerships, independent shops, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, fleets, schools and colleges throughout the country.
- Under 2,500 driven technicians have earned World Class Recognition since 1986.
- Fewer than 50 technicians typically achieve World Class Technician status annually.
- The World Class Technician recognition was established over 40 years ago.
How to Qualify
Recipients must attain 22 specific ASE certifications to receive World Class recognition:
- A1-A8 (Automotive)
- T1-T8 (Medium/heavy truck)
- B2-B5 (Collision repair)
- L1, L2 (Advanced)
What to Expect
Candidates, who have earned the required certifications by December 31st of the previous calendar year, are identified and notified in March of the following year.
Recipients receive:
- A special certificate signed by the Presidents of ASE and the Auto Care Association
- An exclusive embroidered shoulder insignia
- A personalized plaque and medallion kit
- Promotion in Auto Care and ASE communications to thousands of industry professionals and media

The Auto Care Association is the voice of the $516.6 billion plus auto care industry. They provide advocacy, educational, networking, technology, market intelligence and communications resources to serve the collective interests of their members.
